As Creative Director, you will take the lead for the creative output of the agency, especially within the digital arena. This includes overseeing creative teams and processes as well as the presentation of client materials.
Key responsibilities include:
· Direct the creative function so the team, culture, talent, tools, procedures, and other output support the strategic goals of the client and TMP.
· Continually stay abreast of the latest and greatest in the digital world including understanding usability, browser environment, search engine marketing, search engine algorithms and whatever is next
· Ensure the creative product stays ahead of the competition and exceeds client expectations
· Partner with operational management to ensure the creative function operates profitably
. Set the example and expectations for creative team work ethic, attitude and desire to be the best at what we do individually and as a team
· Drive the agency’s technology needs, marketing technology and digital marketing capabilities to support client and target audience demands
. Participate in client problem solving as part of integrated account team
. Define the needs and develop the creative strategy for clients, including listening, asking, prioritizing and translating client needs into strategic documents.
. Oversee the development of architecture, and concepts for print, web and multimedia projects
. Conduct and participate in new business pitches and client meetings; develop relationships and communication with internal departments and clients to proactively support their needs
. Ensure that timely and effective communications happen between staff, account teams, clients and partners.
. Participate in project estimates, briefs and proposals.
. Ensure quality in the department including review and approve materials developed by staff; measuring and evaluating campaign effectiveness; supporting and growing individual talent
. Perform ongoing research of print, online and multimedia capabilities
. Hire, manage and mentor creative team ; including coaching and developing staff members, conflict resolution, progressive discipline, employee retention, and individual development strategies up to and including formal written performance evaluations
. Provide ongoing training to all creative staff; as well as cross-functional teams as needed
. Other duties as required to lead, manage and succeed as a department
Skills/Requirements
Requirements:
. 7-10 years creative leadership experience
. B.A. degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
. Experience directing compelling creative solutions for all traditional and digital mediums
. Direct supervisory experience, along with leadership qualities including decision making, financial responsibilities, problem solving
. Solid understanding of advertising principles
. Demonstrated creative ability; strong writing, verbal and presentation skills; must have attention to detail and ability to work within strict deadlines
. Excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Web Design, Illustrator, Flash CS3 (CS4 and CS5 is a plus),
. Basic understanding of Dreamweaver, xhtml, Final Cut and/or After Effects, or Premier, Soundtrack Pro or equivalent audio editing program
. Designing for the social web and sound understanding of usability fundamentals, and information design
